Saigon A morning city tour of dynamic Saigon, officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City in 1976, takes in the former Presidential Palace, the Old Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral. Early afternoon, drive to Cu Chi to visit the incredible underground tunnel network built by the Vietnamese guerrilla fighters.

Day 3: Mekong excursion to My Tho ( B,L)

Mekong Delta excursion Full day trip to the watery world of My Tho in the Mekong Delta. Take a boat trip along the narrow waterways overhung with dense vegetation and try exotic fruits in one of many orchards; a fascinating glimpse of life in this region. Lunch is elephant ear fish, a specialty of the Delta region

Day 4: Sai Gon - Hue city tour (B,D)

Saigon - Hue From Saigon take a flight to Hue, the former capital of Vietnam. On arrival in Hue transfer to Heritage hotel or similar ( 3 stars), for an overnight stay, before touring the Imperial Citadel followed by a boat cruise on the romantically named Perfume River

Day 5: Hue - Danang - Hoi An (B,L)

A morning tour of Hue will include Dong Ba Market, the mausoleums of Emperor of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. In the afternoon, travel through the photogenic fishing village of Lang Co, over the Pass of Mountain Clouds, to Danang and then to Hoi An. Visit the Cham Museum en route. Spend three nights in Hoi An at the Ancient House Resort.

Day 6: Hoi An city tour (B, L)

Hoi An Take a morning walking tour of Hoi An and visit the former merchant’s houses, the 400 year old Japanese Covered Bridge and the market. Balance of the day at leisure.

Day 8: Hoi An - Danang - Ha Long bay (B, L)

Drive to Danang airport for a flight to Hanoi. On arrival, there is a direct transfer to the prosperous seaport of Hai Phong for lunch and a short tour of the city to see the old colonial buildings, Opera House, Do Market, Hang Kenh Temple and Du Hang Pagoda. Continue to Halong Bay, and stay at the Van Hai Hotel for two nights.

Day 9: Halong bay cruise (B,L)

Day 12 : Hanoi - Hoa Lu ancient citadel (B,L)

8:00 am: pick you up at hotel, transfer to Ninh Binh. You will visit Hoa Lu – The Ancient Royal Capital of Viet Nam, Dinh Temple – where worshipped Dinh Tien Hoang King and Le Temple – where worshipped Le Dai Hanh King.

After having lunch, you will take a small bamboo boat and go along the Ngo Dong river to visit Tam Coc (Three Caves) – “Ha Long Bay on land”. Get back the whaft, and leave for Ha Noi. O/N in Hanoi.
